PreSchool-Grade 3?Nearsighted Luna hates wearing glasses, and she or he hates her name, which she believes her parents chose since they favor tuna fish. One night, she dreams she can see everything perfectly. However when she tries doing without her glasses the subsequent day, she bumps into things and has several near misses. When her father tells her she is special and that they was named following the moon, she immediately cheers up and announces that she doesn't mind wearing glasses anymore. Readers will believe it is difficult to imagine that Luna, who are able to supposedly see well up close, would actually stir the goldfish instead of your pot of soup or eat cat treats instead of cookies. Also, her complete change of heart is much too abrupt to be credible. In watercolor cartoon drawings with ink cross-hatching, Morris depicts the kid wearing yellow frames with red polka dots?her choice, admittedly, however they are so outlandishly big on her behalf face that it is little wonder she hates them. For an even more humorous treatment from the subject, try Lane Smith's Glasses?Who Needs 'Em? (Viking, 1991).?Marianne Saccardi, Norwalk Community-Technical College, CT
